Brand Designer

Do you thrive when you create thoughtful designs that add spark and personality to a brand? Are you interested in working with a fun, creative group of people? ShootProof is looking for an experienced, creative, and driven Brand Designer to join our team full-time in our Atlanta office to help us continue to evolve our brand creatively and strategically.

The ideal candidate would be someone who can design with business goals in mind while working across a variety of assets on the web, in emails, print, and beyond. This is an essential role that will help us evolve our brands as ShootProof grows.

In a “typical” day, our Brand Designer might:

  • Work with the marketing team to brainstorm and create designs for websites, landing pages, email, digital ads, trade shows, social media, and swag
  • Facilitate design discussions with digital marketing, product marketing, brand marketing, social, other designers, and the rest of the company
  • Build interactive landing pages and web pages via Webflow to facilitate A/B testing and brand marketing hypothesis and updates
  • Work closely with the Visual Design Manager to create and pitch new design ideas for various marketing campaigns
  • Thoughtfully challenge brand standards and practices as the ShootProof brand and our sister companies Táve, Cole’s Classroom, and Design Aglow evolve
  • Provide feedback to other designers on their comps
  • Create design documentation, including wireframes, mockups, moodboards, and comps

This job might be a great fit for you if:

  • You are a clear communicator. You can command the attention of a room to express your design creations. You are able to facilitate meaningful discussions and feedback gathering from others eloquently and with confidence
  • You believe in telling the right story. You have a strong desire to understand our audience and know how to communicate in their visual language so that they see ShootProof and our sister brands as the solution that will help them thrive as a photographer
  • You inspire innovation. You are not married to your design and know that good ideas can come from anywhere. You know that working as a team is better than doing it all on your own. You keep up with industry trends and explore how or if a trend would benefit our experience
  • You keep an eye on the big picture. Even though you’re in the day-to-day, you have an eye for the future and don’t allow yourself or others to design ourselves into a corner. You strive to understand larger business goals and how your designs

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • 3-5 years experience as a brand designer, preferably for a SaaS or web application company
  • Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign
  • Experience with Sketch, Figma, or similar web design tools
  • Proficiency with managing marketing design projects, from concept to completion
  • A strong portfolio showing samples of your work, clearly articulating your process and what you did on each project with brand design, web and mobile/responsive, print and digital assets, typography and layouts, and monoline iconography and illustrations
  • Experience with matching the illustration and brand styles of new design standards
  • Excellent project management skills and communication
  • Attention to detail and acknowledgement that business requirements drive design deliverables
  • Awareness of current and emerging technology for implementing web designs and other creative designs
  • Familiarity with design sprints and working within fast-paced deadlines

Things that would put you over the top:

  • You have worked with on branding or websites for software companies
  • You’re a photographer, either professional or amateur, or have experience in the photography industry
  • Mentor less experienced team members or others in the organization about the design process and help them decide on the best approach to solving a problem
  • Experience creating and building animations
  • HTML/CSS and you love to work with Webflow or build websites in your free time
  • Practical knowledge of behavioral analytics and applying those insights to design discussions
  • Working knowledge of creating and implementing design systems
