Everything Coming to ShootProof in 2026

8 min read

This isn’t just a “business as usual” update. We’ve been reading the emails, watching the support tickets, and, most importantly, doing something.

Our motto, “Focus on What Matters Most,” isn’t just a catchy phrase we put on a t-shirt (but our t-shirts ARE pretty great). It’s the lens through which we view every line of code we write. You told us you needed more flexibility, better protection for your art, and a way to embrace the future of visual storytelling.

Build a Beautiful Business.

Well, we’re not just listening anymore. We’re taking action. Our 2026 roadmap is officially here, and it’s packed with the tools you’ve been asking for. Here is a deep dive into what’s happening at ShootProof this year.

Tipping on Invoices: More Money in Your Pocket in 2026

Let’s start with the win that’s already making waves. We know that as a photographer, you often go above and beyond, staying that extra 15 minutes to catch the perfect golden hour light or rushing an edit for a grieving family. Your clients want to show their appreciation, but “cash in an envelope” feels a bit dated in a digital world.

This image shows a software interface for creating and managing invoices, with a focus on adding tipping options. The interface displays invoice details, payment options, and a feature to add a tip, with percentage options and a custom amount field.

Since we launched Tipping on Invoices in December, the results have been staggering. ShootProof photographers have already earned over $30,000 in tips. That averages out to about an extra $55 per invoice.

This feature is live now for all paid plans, so if you haven’t enabled it yet, definitely check it out!

First impressions are everything. Your gallery intro page is essentially the front door to your digital studio. To help you make it as unique as your brand, we’ve rolled out the first phase of our Gallery Enhancements.

We’ve added 28 new fonts and 15 new intro page options, giving you the creative freedom to match your aesthetic perfectly. ” You can now see every design change the moment you make it, ensuring your client’s first glimpse of their photos is exactly how you envisioned it.

The image shows a user interface for managing a photo gallery, with options for theme customization, layout adjustments, and bulk editing settings, alongside a display of the photos in the Collins Family Session gallery. The interface includes settings for gallery access, privacy, and status, as well as options for managing albums and requiring visitor email for access.

In March 2026, we’re taking this even further with a cleaner, more modern visual experience. We’re smoothing out the navigation to make the user journey effortless for your clients, while also laying the technical groundwork for some big “motion” features coming later this year.

Booking Rescheduling and Calendar View

Photography is a dream job, but managing the logistics? That can feel a lot like herding cats. We know your schedule is constantly in flux.

Coming this March, Booking Rescheduling is here to save your sanity. This feature gives both you and your clients the flexibility to move sessions without the endless back-and-forth of “Are you free Tuesday? No? How about Thursday at 4?”

The image shows a screenshot of a calendar and session rescheduling interface from a business management software, likely for photographers or other creative professionals. The calendar displays appointments and availability, while the rescheduling panel allows users to modify session details like date, time, location, and contract information.

To make things even clearer, we’re launching Calendar View. Instead of looking at a list of dates and names, you’ll be able to see your entire booking schedule in one visual space inside ShootProof.

Questionnaires and Screenshot Protection: Preparation and Security

As we move into April, we’re focusing on the “before” and “after” of a shoot.

  • Questionnaires: Great photos start with great preparation. Soon, you’ll be able to send questionnaires directly through the Booking feature. All of your session’s vital details will be organized in one place.
This image shows a digital interface for a Wedding Questionnaire in draft mode, featuring editable sections for questionnaire details, logistics, and coverage schedule, alongside a preview of the questionnaire's appearance on a mobile device. The questionnaire is from Jessica Russ Photography and includes fields for the wedding's logistics and other details.
  • Screenshot Protection: We know how frustrating it is to see a low-res, unpurchased screenshot of your hard work show up on social media. We’re adding a meaningful layer of protection to your galleries, making it significantly harder for visitors to “capture and post all over social media.” This keeps the value of your work where it belongs: with you.

Slideshows and Reels: Emotional Storytelling

By July, we’re turning up the volume on the client experience. Sometimes, a static gallery doesn’t capture the full emotion of a wedding day or a newborn session.

The screenshot shows a Wedding Highlights slideshow editor interface with settings for theme, image duration, transition effects, and watermark. A Create New Slideshow modal is open, allowing the user to name the slideshow and select a format, with the 16:9 option highlighted.

Slideshows and Reels will allow you to curate your favorite shots into shareable, high-impact videos. These aren’t just galleries, they are experiences. Your clients will be able to watch their story unfold and share those reels immediately, creating an emotional connection that leads to higher engagement and more print sales.

Video Hosting: The Future of Your Galleries

This is the one you’ve been waiting for. We’ve heard the request loud and clear, and we are stoked to announce that Video Hosting is officially in development for a Summer/Fall 2026 release.

The image shows a mobile app for Melody Bright Photography, displaying a gallery of wedding photos and videos. The main view features a video of a bride and groom standing close together, with playback controls visible.

The photography industry is evolving, and many of you are already incorporating “fusion” sessions or offering short films alongside your stills. Our new video feature will support:

  • Up to 4K uploads for crystal-clear quality.
  • Seamless integration, allowing you to weave video clips directly into your photo galleries.
  • Hybrid storytelling that lets your clients experience the movement and sound of their most precious moments alongside your beautiful stills.

This is a massive shift for the ShootProof platform, and we’re building it to be as robust and professional as the work you create.

Building the Future Together

While we’re moving as fast as we can to get these tools into your hands, please keep in mind that software development is a bit like a photoshoot—sometimes the lighting (or the code) requires a little extra tweaking to get it perfect. Dates may shift slightly, but we promise to keep you updated every step of the way.

We also know that your “dream feature” might not be on this list yet. If there is something you’re dying to see in ShootProof, don’t stay silent! Send your ideas to support@shootproof.com.

You are the reason we build, and your feedback is the compass for our roadmap. Let’s make 2026 your most productive, profitable, and creative year yet.

Get clients. Get paid. Get happy.
