Position overview

ShootProof is seeking a Data Analyst to join our growing team based in Atlanta. Today, ShootProof has tens of thousands of paying customers. We're now accelerating our growth to hundreds of thousands of customers. The key to our sustained success is unlocking business insights hidden within the mountain of data we collect every day. We're looking for a master of data visualization who is driven with a passion for taking complex data and presenting it in an intuitive and insightful manner.

Key responsibilities

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Collaborate with product-centric Scrum teams, as well as work with internal Support, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance teams by delivering on their needs around reporting and data visualization
  • Apply your knowledge of SQL, data modeling, programming, statistics, and mathematics to recognize patterns and answer business questions
  • Regularly communicate your findings and recommendations to the broader team via data visualization and storytelling
  • Work closely with the Customer Growth team to design and launch experiments to increase key conversion rates
  • Work closely with key department heads (Customer Success, Product, Finance, etc.) to support their efforts through reporting, data analysis, and ELT processes
  • Measure key performance indicators across various company initiatives
  • Support our long-term data and analytics strategy with respect to data warehousing, data visualization, and self-service reporting
  • Collaborate with Engineering team members as needed on more involved, custom development tasks

Experience and requirements

The optimal candidate for our Data Analyst role will have:

  • Extensive experience delivering business insights with analytics platforms and other data visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik, Amazon QuickSight, etc.; Tableau is preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience working with large datasets across multiple sources to extract insights
  • Deep understanding of relational database concepts, such as normalization and data integrity
  • Expert-level experience writing complex, performant SQL queries
  • Experience translating complex data into business insights
  • Experience with programming languages and tools commonly used with data and analytics (Python/Pandas, R, etc.)
  • Expert-level experience with BI visualization development and data validation
  • Experience with data warehousing tools and ETL/ELT processes a plus (Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, etc.)
  • Experience with SaaS metrics and reporting a plus (customer churn, lifetime value, etc.)
  • Experience supporting third-party integrations with enterprise software a plus (NetSuite, Zendesk, Active Campaign, etc.)
  • Proven ability to work independently to deliver on projects with minimal oversight and ability to take initiative to ensure positive outcomes
  • Ability to self-organize, manage your time, and deliver on your commitments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
