Your galleries are moving!
But don’t worry, they’re not actually *going* anywhere. They’ve evolved beyond still photos into an audio/visual experience your clients will adore. A BRAND NEW slideshow experience just launched, including the ability to create reels (that will blow their socks off), music is expanding, and video is on its way.
Introducing Slideshows on ShootProof.
A new way to deliver your work
Once you’ve wrapped a session, pull your best selects, drop in the perfect song, and send your client a music-backed highlight video. Right inside ShootProof, no new tools required.
The “photos that just sit there doing nothing” era is ENDING.
What you can do with slideshows:
- Select photos from a gallery (in either desktop or mobile) and arrange them on a timeline
- Choose a slide transition and crop style (including fit, fill, and Ken Burns)
- Add a track from 50,000+ songs in the upgraded Triple Scoop Music library (available as an add-on), and optionally set your transitions to use beat matching
- Set aspect ratio — including 9:16 for Instagram Reels and Stories
- Add your watermark, preview, and publish to the client gallery
- Use slideshows for your Gallery or Album covers, instantly capturing your clients’ attention and giving them a moving experience from their very first glance.

The music upgrade that makes it possible
We rebuilt our music integration from the ground up. The previous experience had only 29,000+ songs with limited search and no slideshow support. Starting today: 50,000+ licensed songs, real search by mood, genre, and artist, and a new unified music plan (as an add-on) covering gallery streaming, slideshows, and everything we build next.
This is just the beginning
And we’re not stopping at Slideshows! Effective immediately, every paid plan gets 1GB of video storage to play with before the BIG reveal in September (when you’ll get access to loads more video storage, AND the ability to monetize it)! Full launch of video will be in September! Upload your videos where you upload your photos!
Evolve your sessions by offering “fusion” sessions or short films alongside your stills. This hybrid storytelling will let your clients experience the movement and sound of their most precious moments alongside your beautiful stills.
How Can I Use Slideshows?
Great question. “Cool new feature” is nice, but “cool new feature that quietly makes me more money and saves me from writing another awkward review-request email” is better. Here’s where Slideshows can actually go to work for you:
Build client anticipation (and maybe sell some prints while you’re at it). Share the slideshow with clients on social media before the gallery so clients experience their photos as an emotional story first. It sets the mood, primes them to look at the full collection with fresh eyes, and — conveniently — people tend to buy more prints when they’re still a little misty-eyed.
Show prospective clients your style, without them having to imagine it. Turn your styled shoots, passion projects, or best-of-the-year work into a slideshow. Drop it in your inquiry response, pin it to your Instagram profile, or embed it on your About page. It’s a lot more convincing than a portfolio grid and a promise.
Let clients’ Instagram Stories do your marketing for you. Shareable 9:16 slideshows practically beg to be posted, complete with your branding baked right in. That’s free reach and organic referrals, and you didn’t have to post a single “link in bio” yourself.
Build relationships with vendors (who will absolutely tag you back). Wedding photographers, make a florist- or venue-specific slideshow showing off their arrangements or lighting. Vendors love free promo, and a happy vendor is one who refers you to the next couple.
Presell print products without saying “so, about prints…”. Build short, intentional slideshows that linger just a beat longer on the images that would look incredible on canvas. Let the photo do the selling.
Give potential clients a reason to feel something, not just look at something. Create slideshows in your example galleries on your Portfolio Website. A 60-second musical reel does more emotional heavy lifting than a static photo grid ever will.
Make your mini sessions market themselves. Turn footage from past mini-session events into high-performing ad creative — authentic clips of real families consistently outperform still-photo ads. Download in 9:16 for Reels, paid ads, or organic posts.
Get testimonials without it feeling like homework (for either of you). A week or two after delivery, send a review request with a link to their slideshow attached. It reads as a genuine thank-you, not a chore you’re outsourcing to your clients. And a client who’s watched their slideshow three times already is about as warm a reviewer as they come.
Pitch your work to venues and events. A tight 60-second slideshow of your best relevant work says more in a minute than a portfolio link buried in an email ever will.
Rebook past clients without sending a single “hey, been a while!” email. At the end of the year, build a highlight reel of your season’s best work and send it to past clients as a “look at this beautiful year” note. It’s nostalgic, it’s warm, and it quietly reminds them that a whole year just went by — which, coincidentally, is usually about time to book again.
Basically: it’s one feature, but it’s doing the job of your marketing, your sales follow-up, and your review-request emails combined. Not bad for something you build in the same place you already deliver galleries.
